Stunning Oceanside Wedding at Dos Pueblos Orchid Ranch

This was such a fun wedding to plan for Karlen and Chris. We had the pleasure of planning not only the wedding, but also the welcome dinner at El Paseo, rehearsal dinner at Hotel Californian, and post-wedding brunch at Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfroom Resort. For the rehearsal dinner it was all about colorful lounge vignettes and bright citrus centerpieces. Karlen is actually from just south of Santa Barbara and grew up on an avocado farm. Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm with its own avocado orchards, was naturally picked to host the wedding day. For the oceanside ceremony, a simple arbor was dressed with white roses and eucalyptus by Anna LePley Taylor. A bed of flowers on either side of the aisle, seemed to grow up organically.

Dinner was held in one of the many old greenhouses on the property. String lights added a romantic twinkle and long tables were dressed with garlands filled with eucalyptus, blue thistle and white blooms. The groom is in the navy, and for the grand entrance the couple chose to do a traditional salute, it was such a nice personal touch. All was captured by photographer Miki and Sonja.

Bohemian Pink Wedding at the Santa Barbara Zoo

For Katie & Joey's big day they chose the hilltop at the Santa Barbara Zoo. Katie chose a, simple, fitted wedding gown and paired it with a cathedral lace veil. To mark the ceremony spot Rock Rose Floral Design installed a circular arbor to frame the couple. Blush roses were contrasted by more bohemian accents like pampas grass.

After the nuptials guests enjoyed an al fresco cocktail hour featuring comfy lounge vignettes. For dinner a mix of round tables were mixed with elegant farmhouse tables from The Tent Merchant. Diaphanous pink runners ran down the length of tables and floral garlands and centerpieces featured textural flowers like protea, bunny tail, and seeded eucalyptus. Fun and funky peacock chairs marked the bride and groom's seats. And finally, Enjoy Cupcakes finished off the night with one of their signature dessert displays.
