We simply adore California photographers Michael + Anna Costa around here and to prove our undying love for these two talented shutterbugs we are spending the entire day with some of their most fabulous weddings. We are kicking off the Costa-extravaganza with a chic Santa Barbara soiree that kicks some serious wedding behind. It is the perfect blend of Los Angeles cool with Santa Barbara elegance and the images are out of this world! Myara & Finian’s wedding begins at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara & travels to Foley Estates Vineyard and Winery nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Santa Ynez Vally. Being in the film industry, Myara & Finian’s panache for cool shows in their and their wedding parties’ wardrobe in what will undoubtably look hip 20 years out. Sunny floral design and details by the always amazing Nico of Nico Designs compliment their wonderful day surrounded by friends, family and synchronized dancing! Planning all wrapped up in a nice little package by Tonya Szele of Soigne Productions.

San Ysidro Ranch- Kathy's 50th!!

I had the great honor of helping one of my favorite Santa Barbara families plan a fabulous 50th Birthday celebration at the San Ysidro Ranch last Saturday.  Kathy, you look amazing, happy happy birthday! 

Here's a sneak peak of the photos taken by my good friend, the ever so talented Kacie of Kacie Jean Photography.  The photos are incredible and you really captured the joy of the evening.  Tricia Fountaine, once again blew us away with the gorgeous floral design... the mantel... really?  OMG!  So beautiful!  Shani and her team at the San Ysidro Ranch hit a home run.  I had the pleasure of joining in the celebration and the food was so yummy!  That salad and those cupcakes, wow!  Trevor from Bella Vista Designs created an LED pink light show in the clear tent provided by Classic Party Rentals.  Jon Francis from Anthony Ybarra Music set the mood while playing guitar in the wine cellar during the cocktail reception and Scott from Scott Topper Productions added to the fun in the Hydrageas Cottage and Terrace by deejaying and keeping the dance floor full all night.  He also provided his Action Photo Booth which we set-up in the Adobe... complete with crazy props.  Lastly, Heidi of Zenadia Design and Nicole of The Left Handed Calligrapher provided the pretty letterpress and calligraphy invitation, menus, signage and escort cards.

Thank you to everyone for helping to create such a special evening for Kathy, her friends and her family.  I can't wait to do it again.

Real Wedding Kerri and Josh at Four Seasons Biltmore Featured on Junebug!

Come take a jaunt to the beach with us today! Kerri and Josh's Santa Barbara real wedding, photographed by BB Photography, is the perfect escape for a winter day - sun, sand, delicate decor and an incredibly happy couple. It's our Friday gift to you!

 The Goals: Kerri and Josh wanted to share their love of Santa Barbara, California with their family and friends so they chose the beautiful Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore for their wedding venue. In the outdoor ceremony they combined their Christian and Jewish faiths, and felt that they were starting a new tradition at this favorite location that would last a lifetime.

The Design: Kerri and Josh chose a wedding color palette of white and cream with accents of lavender and natural greens. With the help of wedding planner Soigne Productions their decor had an easy, romantic and organic feel to it to compliment the natural beauty of the resort's beach location. I absolutely love their chuppah made from driftwood and the lush white florals from Mindy Rice!


The Look: Kerri wore a gown by Monique Lhuillier and accessories from Garland Collects, and looked like perfection! Her bridesmaids wore deep ocean blue dresses from Two Birds Bridesmaid with earrings by Linked Lust. For the tradition of Old, New Borrowed and Blue, Kerri wore vintage earrings (old), her beautiful wedding gown (new), her grandmother's handkerchief (borrowed) and cute bridal Hanky Panky undies (blue).

The Moments: Kerri's favorite moments of the day were walking down the aisle to see Josh waiting there for her, and saying their vows underneath the driftwood chuppah as hummingbirds fluttered around them. Wow! One of the biggest hits of the wedding was how much everyone loved the live music. "Our band was amazing and is still getting talked about - the dance floor was full the whole time and our ceremony and cocktail music was just as amazing! We hit a home run with the Supernova Quartet and Impulse!"

La Cumbre Country Club: Jodi + Chris

Jodi and Chris planned their Santa Barbara destination wedding all the way from England.  Jodi is originally from California and Chris is from South Africa.  They met while traveling and their long distance relationship evolved over the years until they finally decided to tie the knot.  They choose the La Cumbre Country Club as the location for their romantic destination wedding. 

Photographer Blendi of Sun-Dance Photography did an amazing job of capturing every special moment and the florists of Kaleidoscope Flowers designed the simple and beautiful decor.

Greek Orthodox Church and Four Seasons Biltmore: Kelly + Bill

Kelly and Bill planned their Santa Barbara destination wedding from their home in New York City. Since they have very busy schedules, we consolidated all of the planning sessions into a couple of short weekends. The rest of the details were planned over phone and email.

Their ceremony and reception were held at the Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church and the Four Seasons Biltmore. This was my first time working with two talented Santa Barbara event professionals- Megan Sorel Photography, who shoots 100% film and Laura Sangas, owner of Cody Floral Design. Both did an amazing job in creating a dream wedding for Kelly & Bill.

Montecito Covenant Church and Fess Parker's Doubletree: Heather + Arturo

Heather and Arturo are the sweetest couple and they planned their Santa Barbara wedding all the way from Mexico where they live.  We met on just a couple of occasions to work out all of the details and along with Heather's adorable parents, we planned a beautiful event.  They held their ceremony & reception at the Montecito Covenant Church and Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort.

Michael and Anna Costa Photography captured every special moment and Nico Designs created the gorgeous florals.

Fess Parker's Doubletree: Emily + Matt

Emily and Matt are a lovely couple and local Santa Barbarians. Their ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful, oceanside, Fess Parker's Doubletree Resort.

Nico Designs created stunning yellow, white, green and pink floral arrangements. All photos were taken by their photographer, the talented Melissa Musgrove, and she captured every special moment.

The bride's bouquet held a bouquet of gardenias, phalenopsis orchids, cattalaya orchids, garden roses, dusty miller, ranuculous and lambs ear.

A Large wooden tray held flower cones filled with petals for guests to toss... Moss hedges with yellow rose buds marked the beginning of the aisle and small yellow rose bushes marked the end... Boxes filled with hydrangea and roses lined the aisle... Two large arrangements with curly willow, honeysuckle, garden roses, sweet peas, phalenopsis and hydrangea bordered the alter.

Dark wooden trays filled with snapdragons held the escort cards. The miniature cows and fish signify guest meal choices...Tables were named after streets in Santa Barbara....Nico provided wicker lounge pieces decorated with pillows tied in yellow ribbon...The four tier buttercream wedding cake was made by Montecito Confections.

Half the tables held clusters of hurricane candles surrounded by a wreath of hydrangea, garden roses and cymbidium orchids... The other half held tall cylinder vases topped with globe shaped arrangements... Bella Vista Designs hung string lights and twinkle lights and AMS Entertainment provided entertainment.
